Seafood Job Finder

This page is currently being developed to help companies promote job vacancies and individuals find work in the London Seafood Industry. We have focused on useful contacts for companies looking for staff and links for individuals looking for work. We offer free advertising space for companies who would like to either promote job opportunities, and listings in our quarterly newsletter 'Billingsgate Gossip' that goes to over 500 contacts within London seafood companies.

We will be building links with local Job Centres, Learning & Skills Councils as well as Schools and Colleges to promote the opportunities.

1. Make sure that your local job centre has your details. For a full list of London Job Centres including telephone numbers click here.

2. How about offering apprenticeships to existing staff or as an incentive for a new employee to join your company? Find out about the benefits from the Apprenticeships website here.

3. Why not contact your local schools and let them know about your vacancies? Find your local Greater London schools here.

4. The Careers Service in England has now been replaced by Connexions, which offers a range of advice services to young people, including careers advice and a vacancy service. Vacancies can be placed at your local Connexions Centre. There is at least one in every London borough.
